I just wanted to tell you that I’ve been reading “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, and thought it was cool that, when he was not working on his own “who-dunnit”, the protagonists spent his free time reading a Sara Paretsky novel. Made me appreciate Stieg Larsson even more.
Thanks again for this contest, Sara. It prompted me to re-read “Killing Orders” to refresh my memory regarding the number of glasses Gabriella brought to America! And I must say, I enjoyed the book yet again!

Deeper background on the items and people could have been good. Also, questions about Mr. Contreras’ family, Gabriela’s musical history, Tony’s police related past (partners, precincts, superiors) and V.I.’s family (Boom-Boom and other cousins) might have been good for some of the more ardent fans of your spectacular body of work and Vic’s books in particular. I think I speak for all your readers when I write that the world is a richer and more interesting place for your being in it. Thank you for all that you do.
