Didn't have access to a computer, yesterday, so this is a belated Happy New Year to you...to everyone. I didn't know about eating the apple but I like that.

Well, my thoughts about peace pretty much parallel yours. Eisenhower once said, "I think that people want peace so much that one of these days government had better getout of their way and let them have it." Be real nice if that actually happened.

There is this grumpy monster (I forget his name) who refuses to forgive someone, simply because he is grumpy. But the someone quickly forgives the grump for not forgiving him...

We watch this Sesame Street episode every New Year's Eve, sad people that we are. I'm just getting used to talking New Year stuff in September.

I have just gone through the annual calendar from my daughter's new college, which happens to be Catholic, to find that every important day in most religions get a listing. It's nice that they can take many different religions seriously, even if I felt they got the date for the Ascension wrong.

I'll have a pear, or five, instead!

I seem to recall from Sesame Street that you are meant to ask for forgiveness, and to forgive others.
